What is a domain name?
A domain name is what enables you to have your 'address' on the Internet. It is what gives you your unique web and Email address.
Every computer on the Internet has an IP address, which is a string of numbers and dots. Obviously, this is very difficult to remember, and it's easy to mis-type a digit. A domain name points to one of these addresses, making it much easier to find.
